Proteo choses 3F Filippi lighting to update the Del Conca plants
A cutting-edge project to reduce lighting consumption
If the italian one is one of the most appreciated tile industry in the world, credit goes to national institutions such as Gruppo Del Conca, which demonstrated a a combination of passion, creativity and ability to provide new solutions, thank to the continued investments in the most advanced technologies. To keep on upgrading the efficiency and quality of some plants in the Modena district, the Gruppo Consuleted Proteo Srl of Spilamberto, an engineering company which boasts many prestigious commissions both in Italy (Kerakoll and Mapei) and abroad (Gruppo Fiandre and Florin). The advise considered a significant modernization of the Ceramiche Pastorelli plant (a Gruppo Del Conca controlled company) in Savignano sul Panaro. Besides the merely manufacturing area, which included totally automated goods handling and storage systems inside the plant, Proteo was also entrusted with lighting, in order to optimize the considerable energy consumption that usually characterizes tile companies. From this second (though not secondary) perspective of what came out as a whole project, the Spilamberto company relied on the 3F Filippi technology. In particular, for the Savignano plant, Proteo chose some versions of the LED, Dali interfaced 3F Linda and 3F LEM light fixtures. The first ones (LED 2X30W version) were used in some used in stock areas, including those where the great structures containing the sands needed for tile manufacturing, while, on the contrary, the second ones have been installed in the real production spaces. Including the one which hosts the big roller kilns, where the tiles firing takes place. Among the chosen versions of the latter fixtures one chose also the HT (High Temperatures) one. This light fixture, in fact, distinguishes itself from other for its capability to resist to high temperatures. While other versions were designed to function properly up to 55°C, the HT one reaches up to 70°C. This feature allows the product to be used in particularly demanding environments, such as those that appear in the tile industry, where the heat emitted by the kilns add to that coming from the roofs in the summer months. Adding all the versions, the project of Proteo regarding the Savignano plant evisaged the installation of 539 lighting fixtures, used to replace the previously installed devices with fluorescent and metal halide sources. The intervention for Ceramiche Pastorelli, finished at the beginning of 2017, allowed a significant energy consumption reduction. The significant result obtained at this plant adds to the one achieved in the same period for another Gruppo Del Conca structure, namely the group's logistics center in Solignano Nuovo, where 379 3F Lem and 447 3F Linda were used, all of them equipped with LED sources.
