When quality is measured in
the details

When quality is measured in the details

In the automotive sector, precision is essential. Every bodywork repair requires care, expertise and the ability to detect even the smallest imperfections: a slight difference in shade, an uneven surface or a detail that only becomes visible under particular lighting conditions. In environments like these, lighting is an integral part of the working process. At the Ford Azzurra body shop in Cuneo, we helped create lighting conditions suited to the needs of a specialist workshop, where the quality of the finished work also depends on the operators' ability to examine every surface accurately.

The facility features extensive working areas, vehicle lifts, repair stations and spray booths. Here, light must deliver high performance while supporting different tasks without compromising visual comfort. To meet these requirements, we selected Beta 235, our LED luminaire designed to combine lighting performance, strength and reliability in professional environments.

The right light for every surface

The right light for every surface

Lighting a body shop means addressing highly specific visual requirements. Unlike many other industrial applications, technicians work every day on curved, glossy and reflective surfaces that must be inspected from different angles. Bonnets, doors and wings need lighting that reveals details and irregularities, supporting repair and finishing operations. With Beta 235, we met the need for effective general lighting through suspended luminaires distributed across the workshop's various operational areas.

The Beta 235 family offers different light distributions and optical configurations, making it possible to identify the most appropriate solution for the characteristics of each space. At Ford Azzurra, the positioning of the luminaires follows the layout of the workstations, helping provide visibility suited to the tasks performed on vehicles. For us, lighting design means more than illuminating a space: it means understanding how that space is used and which visual needs must be met.

Colour fidelity makes the difference

Colour fidelity makes the difference

When working with automotive paintwork, accurate colour perception is essential. Closely matched shades, metallic finishes and surfaces that react differently to light call for particularly careful viewing conditions. That is why, when selecting the lighting solution, we also considered colour rendering quality, an important factor in supporting the assessment of surfaces.

Beta 235 is available in LED configurations with a colour rendering index above 90, contributing to colour reproduction suited to many professional applications. Yet we know that colour perception does not depend on the light source alone. Light distribution, luminaire positioning and the way surfaces reflect light also influence viewing conditions. This is especially clear at Ford Azzurra, where the glossy vehicle finishes reflect the luminaires suspended from the ceiling. Colour quality and light distribution must therefore be considered together to give technicians viewing conditions consistent with their work.

High performance, with visual comfort in mind

High performance, with visual comfort in mind

A well-lit workplace is not necessarily the one with the greatest amount of light. For us, the real goal is to strike the right balance between lighting performance and visual comfort. In a body shop, reflective surfaces can intensify glare, particularly when technicians inspect vehicles from different angles. Controlling light is therefore an important factor when choosing luminaires.

The Beta 235 family includes different optical configurations and diffuser options, designed to meet varying needs in terms of light distribution and glare control. At Ford Azzurra, the luminaires are suspended from the ceiling, fitting naturally into the building's industrial roof structure and following the arrangement of the work areas. The chosen solution helps create a workplace where light supports daily activities, with particular attention to surface visibility and the visual comfort of operators. Good lighting should make work easier, without becoming a source of distraction itself.

Reliability for everyday work

Reliability for everyday work

In a professional workshop, lighting must always be ready to perform. Luminaires operate in spaces characterised by ongoing activities, specialist equipment and conditions that call for robust, dependable solutions. This is why we develop products that combine lighting performance with build quality.

Beta 235 is one example, with its robust steel body and range of optical configurations. The family includes versions with protection ratings up to IP66, depending on the configuration, as well as features designed to simplify installation. These characteristics make Beta 235 suitable for professional settings where operational continuity and reliability are essential. The Ford Azzurra project reflects our approach to professional lighting: starting with the needs of the people who use a space and offering solutions that improve working conditions. From surface visibility to visual comfort, from light quality to luminaire durability, every element contributes to a shared goal: putting light at the service of people, their expertise and the quality of their work.
