Contemporary workplaces can no longer be seen as a simple sequence of spaces to illuminate. Offices, shared areas, circulation routes and outdoor spaces are part of a single experience and require different solutions, capable of responding to the activities carried out there and to the people who use them every day.
This vision is the starting point for the lighting project developed by 3F Filippi for GAB Tamagnini, a company active since 1969 in the distribution of solutions and services for the retail market.
The project involved both the company's indoor and outdoor spaces, combining luminaires selected according to the characteristics of each environment.
In the offices, the focus is on visual comfort and the quality of the working environment. In shared spaces, light becomes a tool for interpreting the architecture, while outdoors it supports orientation and contributes to the perception of the building.
3F HD, 3F Reno and 3F Manta therefore form an articulated system in which each product responds to a specific need while maintaining a coherent design vision.
Spending many hours in front of a screen, reading documents, attending meetings or alternating between different activities throughout the day continuously places different demands on the visual system.
For this reason, the lighting design in GAB Tamagnini's offices starts with people.
The main solution selected is 3F HD, installed in Single and Continuous-row configurations. The aim is to create a comfortable luminous environment that supports everyday activities, helps limit visual fatigue and promotes the conditions needed for concentration.
Light is therefore not considered solely in terms of illuminance. Equally important are the way it is distributed through the space, its relationship with workstations and the integration of the luminaire into the architecture.
The result is an environment in which lighting performance, comfort and aesthetic quality coexist, making light a natural component of the workplace.
In the GAB Tamagnini project, 3F HD also plays a central role for another reason.
The product was created through a collaboration between 3F Filippi and PARK, bringing together 3F Filippi's lighting and industrial know-how with a design approach attentive to form, architectural integration and the experience of space.
This origin is particularly meaningful in an office environment. Here, a luminaire must do more than illuminate the work surface correctly: it becomes part of the architecture, interacts with the furnishings and remains constantly within people's field of vision.
The Single and Continuous-row configurations used in the project also allow the same lighting language to be adapted to the structure of the different spaces, creating visual continuity between operational areas.
It is precisely in the meeting between technology and design that 3F HD finds its identity: a solution in which the quality of light and the quality of the object were conceived as parts of the same project.
Moving from the offices into shared spaces changes both the requirements and the way light is used.
3F Reno luminaires were selected for these areas and configured specifically for the project with optics capable of controlling and directing the light distribution according to the space.
Light thus becomes a tool for accompanying circulation, defining different areas and contributing to the overall perception of the interiors.
The aim is not to apply the same solution used at workstations, but to interpret a different function while maintaining continuity with the rest of the project.
This is one of the principles behind the intervention: starting from the environment and its function to identify the most appropriate light, avoiding a uniform approach where the spaces instead require different responses.
The project continues beyond the interior spaces.
3F Manta was used in the parking area to illuminate the surrounding space correctly while also contributing to the enhancement and recognisability of the company premises.
Outdoor light therefore has a dual role: making the area usable and establishing a visual relationship between the building and its surroundings.
The project is completed by a focus on energy efficiency. Low-consumption technologies and intelligent management systems help reduce energy use and related costs.
GAB Tamagnini therefore becomes an example of a project in which there is no single light for every environment. Instead, there is a common strategy capable of adapting to people, functions and architecture, accompanying the project from the offices to the outdoor spaces.
